Job Description
The Sales Manager will lead a team of Sales Account Managers and Project Sales Executives driving sales growth and ensuring the achievement of both personal and team sales targets. This role requires proven sales management experience in the fire and life safety industry. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and overseeing the sales process from prospecting to contract execution. Sales will encompass installation, service, and inspection of a variety of systems including fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and security, as well as fire extinguishers and other products and services within the fire and life safety industry.

Mobility: Ability to travel within the territory and attend meetings. Ability to move around, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Hearing: Normal hearing to communicate effectively.
Stamina: Work long hours at times, multi-task, keep focused, and perform effectively throughout the day.
Professional Development:

Job Description
The Sales Manager will lead a team of Sales Account Managers and Project Sales Executives driving sales growth and ensuring the achievement of both personal and team sales targets. This role requires proven sales management experience in the fire and life safety industry. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and overseeing the sales process from prospecting to contract execution. Sales will encompass installation, service, and inspection of a variety of systems including fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and security, as well as fire extinguishers and other products and services within the fire and life safety industry.
Team (8-10 Sales Reps):
- Sales Account Managers: managing established customer base and new customer acquisition.
- Project Sales Executive: new installation/retrofit quotation and working with electrical/mechanical/general contractors to capture project business
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve personal and team sales targets and expand market presence.
- Oversee the orchestration of the sales process, including prospecting, proposal generation, and contract negotiation.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless implementation and transition of new business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and delivering value-added solutions.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
- Participate in executive level report outs and operating reviews supporting General Manager in communicating sales performance.
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations in all sales activities.
- Track all sales activities in the CRM system and generate regular reports for senior management.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sales management within the fire and life safety industry.
- A strong network within the fire and life safety industry preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving personal and team sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and using a CRM platform in a management capacity.
- Industry certifications a plus.
- Knowledge of the assigned territory and relationships within the territory preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strongly preferred is technical knowledge of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and other safety systems.
- Experience developing and presenting pricing options for installation, service, and inspection agreements for systems including fire alarm, sprinkler, and safety.
- Ability to conduct financial and life cycle analysis to quantify value from the client's perspective.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple proposals and processes simultaneously.
- Motivated to grow professionally, personally, and financially.
