Seeking Alpha is looking for a data-driven Email & Newsletters Strategy Manager to join our Marketing team. Seeking Alpha offers free email newsletters and alerts for investors, and millions of people subscribe to these emails. We are looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and data-driven person to manage these email newsletters and alerts, to increase the number of free email subscribers who become paying customers. This role plays a pivotal part in expanding our customer acquisition funnels.
The applicable salary range for this position is $110,000/yr to $130,000/yr which depends on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs, and market demand

What You'll Do
Goal:
Sustainably increase new customer ARR generated by our free emails.
Levers to achieve the goal:
- Revenue Optimization: Improve ARR from new customers subscribing through free newsletters and real-time alerts
- Content & Ad Unit Optimization: Strategically optimize newsletter content, subject lines, and internal ad units to increase engagement and conversion.
- Data Monitoring & Analysis: Track and analyze subscriber growth, retention, and conversion metrics; implement improvements based on performance data.
- Competitor Analysis: Regularly review best practices and competitive strategies in email marketing from industry leaders like Morning Brew, MarketWatch, and WSJ.
- Collaborative Campaigns: Partner with the Paid Acquisition and Biz Dev teams to drive newsletter subscriptions, working closely with the News team to ensure content quality and editorial alignment.
- Subscriber Acquisition Strategy: Oversee subscriber growth initiatives, including collaboration with social media marketers to promote newsletter signups on platforms like X.com and LinkedIn.
- Resource Coordination: Leverage available resources, including designers, developers, and data analysts, to enhance newsletter optimization efforts.
- Monthly ARR targets from new premium subscriptions originating from free newsletters.
- Subscriber growth and retention rates.
- Conversion rates of free newsletter subscribers to paid subscription products (Premium, PRO, Investing Groups, and Alpha Picks).
- Increasing newsletter sign-ups
- Experience: Proven success in optimizing and managing email newsletters with a focus on driving revenue and customer acquisition. Prior experience with prominent financial media or content-driven brands, such as Morning Brew, Forbes, Barron's, MarketWatch, or WSJ.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven approach to decision-making with experience in performance monitoring and KPI analysis.
- Content Strategy: Exceptional ability to enhance newsletter content and ad units to maximize subscriber engagement and conversions.
- Communication: Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and concise messaging.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong enthusiasm for equity investing and familiarity with finance or investment-focused content is a plus.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working cross-functionally, particularly with marketing, acquisition, business development, and news/editorial teams.
- Background in optimizing digital campaigns, ideally in subscription-based or financial services.
