HTI is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for a brand-new multi-metal recycling startup in Augusta, GA. Aurubis is the leading provider of non-ferrous metals and one of the largest copper recyclers worldwide. This German-based company is known for their commitment to environmental sustainability, diversity, and their employees. With plans to be fully operational in mid-2024, this facility is expected to become a major player in the North American supply chain and a significant employer in the greater Augusta area.

- 3-5 years working as an Industrial Electrician, Controls Technician, or similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field preferred.
- Proficienct in PLC programming and troubleshooting(e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control devices.
- Experience with SCADA systems, DCS, HMIs and other control system software.
- Ability to interpret electrical scematics, wiring diagram, and technical manuals.
The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various control systems operations. The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will have a strong background in electrical systems, PLC's troubleshooting/programming, and automation technologies.
- Install, maintain, and repair control systems, including but not limited to PLCs, SCADA systems, DCS, HMIs and other automation equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on control systems to ensure optimal performance reliability.
- Troubleshoot control system issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to design and implement control system upgrades and modifications.
- Document all maintenance and repaid activities, including updating schematics, manuals, and other technical documentation.
- Has the ability to install and troubleshoot, Motor Starters and Controls, like Cycle Start Buttons, Limits Switches, Sensors, Power Supplies and can run wire said items. Also understands the difference between PNP and NPN.
- Knowledge of AC and DC voltage a must - 480V to 24V.
