Job Description
- Document Management: Assist with the organization and maintenance of case files, both physical and electronic, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and promptly.
- Support in Discovery: Help prepare, organize, and track discovery materials, including documents and exhibits, and assist with document review.
- Drafting and Proofreading: Prepare basic legal documents and correspondence as directed by paralegals and attorneys, ensuring accuracy and adherence to format standards.
- Research Assistance: Conduct initial research on case-relevant topics, including IP case precedents and procedural rules, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Trial and Hearing Preparation: Assist in organizing materials for trials and hearings, including preparing exhibit binders, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Scheduling and Calendar Management: Coordinate meetings, depositions, and other case-related events, and assist in tracking important deadlines.
- Administrative Support: Handle routine administrative tasks, including time entry, expense tracking, and general office support for the IP Litigation team.
The Successful Applicant
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
- Previous legal or administrative support experience is a plus, though not required.
- Familiarity with legal research tools and document management software is helpful.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple responsibilities.
