Who We're Looking For:
As a key member of the Operations team, the Assembler will assemble, inspect, and package the Company's medical device products. Work hours are 2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs, 3pm-1am.
About the Role:
- Perform a variety of basic assembly processes, such as: cutting, bonding, wrapping, cleaning, etc.
- Operate various types of custom machinery, such as: semi-auto bonding machines, packaging equipment, etc.
- Conduct quality self-inspection of all assemblies processed.
- Show constant attention to detail, and immediately inform supervisor of anything out of the ordinary, or anything which does not conform to the approved process sheets.
- Follow and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Follow approved process sheets or authorized deviations (TVAs), for all stages of product processing.
- Complete training and understand documentation needed to comply with Laborie's quality system policies and procedures.
- High school diploma / GED or relevant experience.
- Must be able to read and understand work instructions.
- Individuals will need to stand for extended periods. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials during the workday. Ability to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Must be able to work at cleanroom table heights ranging from 30"-40" in a sitting or standing position based upon the workstation and to work in close proximity (1 foot apart) to other employees.
- Ability to work with and around Cyclohexanone, methylene chloride and like chemicals on a daily basis with proper personal protective equipment in place.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing is preferred.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
- Ability to read, understand and communicate in the English language preferred.
- 1-3 years' experience in light assembly, packaging, and shipping environment preferred.
