With a diversity of people, global locations, technologies and products, 3M is a place where you can collaborate with other curious, creative 3Mers.This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.The Impact You Will Make in this Role:As a Plant Engineering Senior Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities, and the machinery used to produce materials and goods, run safely, are compliant, and operate with maximum efficiency and output while driving advancements through technology. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and semi-automated equipment. You will manage people, budgets, and cost reporting. You will be a member of the Indianapolis PSD plant leadership team and work to help facilitate continuous improvement, improve customer service, and meet business needs.Here, you will make an impact by:Leading the Plant Engineering Hourly Technicians to provide Preventive, Corrective and Emergency support for our operationsLeading the Systems, Controls and Data Automation teams to make step changes in our operational effectiveness in efficiency, quality and safety through systems and technology.Implementing and ensuring use of a Reliability Framework and Asset Management System to drive continual improvements in safety, employee engagement and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE/CEE)Coordinating the Site Facilities Projects including building and grounds, security, HVAC and emergency proceduresCreating a training model for Plant Engineering to become multi-disciplined including mechanical, electrical and controlsIncreasing plant operational effectiveness, improving on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plansDriving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered toImplementing and managing continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processesYour Skills and Expertise: To help ensure your success in this role, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:High School Diploma/GED or higher and a minimum of seven (7) combined years of experience in a maintenance field within a private, public, government or military environmentORBachelor’s degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) combined years of manufacturing engineering, plant maintenance, project engineering, controls, technology and/or process engineering experience within a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications, though not required for consideration, include:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institutionExperience with asset management and/or reliability analysisExperience leading Autonomous MaintenanceExperience with driving Continuous Improvement in a complex environmentExperience managing complex projectsExcellent oral and written communication skillsWork location: Indianapolis, INTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
