DutiesAs a CECOM Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) Transition Manager, the incumbent is a recognized authority/consultant and/or senior manager.Provides expert technical advice and recommendations regarding the Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements impacting the effectiveness of a weapon system’s product support strategy.Defines scope, requirements, policy issues, and performance criteria associated with logistics management for complex weapons systems.Provides expert technical advice and recommendations on logistics management in situations where guidelines and procedures do not exist, and where there are usually differences of opinion and approaches among the participants within the programs.Resolves highly complex logistics problems that impact equipment/systems involving new or innovative military strategies.Coordinates extensively with representatives of different DoD components and contractors for logistics management program information and policy development as it relates to acquisition of complex weapons systems.Develops, initiates, and oversees implementation of significant corrective actions, new programs, major program enhancements and important policy changes.Represents the command on acquisition governance boards, committees, and study groups.Accurately tracks and provides the status of product support strategy assessments and agreements utilizing established tools and reports.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentAppointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional information about transcripts is in this document.Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Experience planning, organizing, and directing acquisition life cycle support efforts in order to provide senior leadership with recommendations, analytical support, and risk assessments. Experience analyzing any of the following documentation: acquisition strategies/plans, life cycle sustainment plans, simplified acquisition management plans, requirements documents, materiel release ensuring they adhere to established staffing processes and timelines. Experience documenting memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a specific program's transition. Experience developing and advising on technical proficiency on statutes and policy impacting the C5ISR portfolio.
