This role will be supporting our International and Global Applications portfolio. You will be helping understand the changing needs of the application users by managing production ticket resolution, prioritizing production fixes, documenting changes, supporting the application usage, and working with team and business leadership for key metric reporting.The AVP of IT Production Operations will oversee the end-to-end management within their operations team, ensuring seamless support, incident resolution, and change implementation. This role is crucial for maintaining the stability and performance of our IT systems and services, with a particular focus on the international insurance sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production support, incident, and problem management, change and release management, knowledge of ITIL framework including ITSM, and a deep understanding of the insurance industry.Key Responsibilities:Production Support:Lead and manage the IT production support team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of production issues.Oversee monitoring and maintenance of production systems to ensure high availability and performance.Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of applications and infrastructure.Incident Management:Develop and implement incident management processes to swiftly address and resolve production incidents.Coordinate cross-functional teams during major incidents to restore service and mitigate impact.Conduct post-incident reviews and develop strategies for prevention and improvement.Problem Management:Identify and address recurring issues through root cause analysis and problem resolution strategies.Implement and manage proactive measures to prevent future incidents and improve system reliability.Work closely with engineering teams to ensure long-term fixes and enhancements are applied.Change Management:Oversee change management processes to ensure that all changes to production systems are executed with minimal risk and disruption.Review and approve change requests, ensuring they are thoroughly tested and documented.Facilitate communication and coordination across teams to manage change effectively.Release Management:Influence the planning, scheduling, and execution of software releases and updates.Ensure that releases are delivered with minimal impact on production environments.Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure that release processes are followed and that releases meet quality standards.Industry Knowledge:Leverage knowledge of the insurance industry to align IT operations with business needs and regulatory requirements.Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continually improve IT production operations.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven experience in production support, incident management, problem management, change management, and release management.Deep understanding of the insurance industry, including industry-specific applications, regulations, and best practices.Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving operational excellence.Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.#LI-RS1#LI-HybridOur CultureAt Everest, our purpose is to provide the world with protection.
