OverviewJob PurposeAs a Senior Developer within the ICE Bonds unit, you will be part of a dynamic technology team responsible for the design and implementation of several cutting-edge platforms in the fixed income space.  Some of our recent initiatives includes centralizing the ETF creation / redemption process, electronifying the portfolio trading space, and seamlessly combining portfolio analytics and trade execution into a modern HTML5 front-end.  We have several other ideas that we are looking to implement and are seeking the right candidate to make these next-gen initiatives into a reality!The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, self-motivated and enjoy working under a fast-paced environment.  You will partake in the work that will shape the fixed income market in the years to come.  This role requires frequent interactions with project and product managers, other developers, QA and other stakeholders across various ICE business units, in order to ensure delivery of a world class trading platform to our users.ResponsibilitiesWork with other teams to understand business and technical requirements and come up with meaningful solutionsDeliver quality code in a timely mannerWork closely with project management, product management and QA teamsPlan and estimate the development for key components, applications and systemsBalance design considerations with delivering specified requirementsDevelop component designs that work cohesively in the context of existing architectureExercise judgment within defined standard practices and procedures to analyze, test, design, program, debug, modify and implement system requirementsUnderstand complex business logic in existing systems and transition it to new technologies and systemsCollaborate with business analysts and QA analysts in the design and execution of business feature, regression and integration testingWork in an agile and continuous integration environment with a command of SDLC tools Knowledge and ExperienceBachelor‘s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or related field5+ years of experience developing with Java technologiesStrong working knowledge of: JavaOOD and Design PatternsDistributed messaging, JMSSpringRelational Databases (such as Oracle), SQL, and JDBCMulti-threaded server side developmentService oriented architectureTransactional processingAble to work productively under pressure, and multi-task effectivelyAble to juggle multiple projectsStrong interpersonal skills and able to work well in a team environmentPreferredExperience at a financial institution (major bank, hedge fund, prop shop) in their financial markets technology departmentsWorking knowledge of Fixed Income and/or CDS MarketSome experience with Swing U/I (primarily to support a legacy system which is based phased out)ScheduleThis role offers work from home flexibility one day per week. Base Salary Range for New York CandidatesThe expected base salary for this role is between $135,000 - 190,000.  The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation.  While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin or ancestry, age, disability or veteran status, or other protected status.
