My client is a well-known general contractor headquartered in St. Louis with local projects in the area. Their approach to working with their clients is a full-scale design-build approach, working with them from the initial conception through closeout. They work in education, airport, and municipality. Due to the growth and demand they're experiencing, they are in need of more leadership in their St. Louis operation. They have been awarded 2-3 new contracts for the upcoming year. In prioritizing internal promotion, they have a clear cut growth plans for their employees. Description

  • Lead project management efforts while coordinating with client, architects, and engineers
  • Oversee project operations - coordinating workload, schedules, budgeting, and more
  • Lead potential business development meetings and proposals
  • Travel is minimal, mostly revolving around client meetings or job site visits every so often
  • Establish office culture - lead from the front
  • Overseeing subcontractors & assigned scopes of the project
  • Plans and coordinates project activities inline company polices and procedures

Profile

  • 10 years of experience with a general contractor
  • Bachelor's in applicable construction field highly preferred, but not required
  • Experience leading ground up construction projects up to $40M+ in scope preferred
  • Exposure to medium ($40-$50M) or large ($100M+) projects
  • Past experience in a preconstruction or estimator role is a plus
  • Leadership characteristics and experience
  • Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, materials, and local subcontractors
  • Previous mentorship experience is a strong plus

Job Offer

  • Base salary $100,000 - $130,000 based on experience
