Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.ResponsibilitiesYour future teamWe're hiring a Senior Principal Program Manager, reporting to our Head of Program Management for Growth.As a Senior Principal Program Manager, you will help shape our Program Management organisation as a senior individual contributor. The goal is to steer a critical Growth program working closely with the teams and product, design and engineering leaders.You will have diverse program management capabilities and will guide successful outcomes by influencing others and going deep into issues. Also, you will understand the business strategy and align the technical teams to this to accelerate the program.What you'll doManage large technical programs that span multiple teams and product areasManage often high-volume and high complexity dependencies and risks between teams by aligning partners and escalatingReport on success metrics for programs including major risksBe a partner on the product and delivery strategy with the leadership teamGuide, facilitate and close technical discussions to unblock program outcomesApply your technical understanding to support and negotiate delivery timelinesAdvocate for change in program management and deliver best practicesQualificationsYour background7+ years of program leadership experience on software teams as Program ManagerExperience leading projects spanning multiple teams in multiple timezones, covering all of the followingCreate and hold accountability for the scheduleMake critical decisions quickly to keep project on trackTrack and managing risks and dependenciesCommunication to your team and partnersCollaborate across teams to evolve standards, engineering processes and developer productivity toolsExperience using metrics to improve on software development processes for cloud/SaaS teamsExperience working with experimentation teams and specifically A/B testingFoundational technical knowledge that will allow you to work with engineering teamsModern SaaS architecture, development and operational experienceCompensationAt Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $221,500 - $295,300Zone B: $199,300 - $265,800Zone C: $183,800 - $245,100This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.Please visit go.atlassian.com/payzones for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones.
