About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced zVM Lead Infrastructure Engineer to help support and influence zVM and Linux on system z operations and development.  The focus of this position is administration and support of IBM’s z/VM operating system.   A one-week, 24x7 on-call rotation is shared with peers resulting in a one-week on-call rotation every 6-8 weeks.  A successful candidate will have extensive zVM, zSeries hardware experience and some exposure to Linux.In this role, you will:Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applicationsParticipate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructureEvaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goalsReview and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the futureDesign, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third party vendorsDesign, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practicesMake decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirementsDirect the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure successRecommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve resultsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsInteract with customer and vendorRequired Qualifications:5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years experience with most of the following:  zVM, Velocity Performance and Monitoring, Broadcom VM Manager Suite5+ years Experience with installation of zVM systems, maintenance application, and system upgrades3+ years IBM System z hardware exposure3+ years REXX, CMS Pipelines programming experienceDesired Qualifications:Experience with SUSE and RHEL Operating systemsExperience with Unix/Linux scriptingExperience with Agile Experience with Kanban Exposure with ServiceNow and WorkdayExperience supporting and administering both zVM 6.4 or newer and SUSE linux operating systemsJob Expectations:100% Remote work location is available for this position.   Provide support for one 24x7 week of on-call rotation supporting zVM and SUSEThis position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
