We drive ourselves and inspire each other to push boundaries and achieve ambitious goals.The role The Product Inspired Research team collaborates with product and research teams inside Alphabet to incubate groundbreaking research and deploy advanced machine learning algorithms to improve Alphabet products and services. As a Technical Program Manager, you will apply program management methodologies to multiple initiatives, balancing progress and risk to deliver sustainable change to meet objectives.Key responsibilities:Manage the delivery of projects designed to achieve highly impactful applications of machine learning, keeping teams focused and productiveWork with your project team to organize and optimize work into clear goals and objectivesTrack progress, maintain up-to-date information and relevant technical documentation, anticipate and propose solutions to issues and risksPartner closely with your engineering team lead as a strategic thought partnerFacilitate conversations, meetings and opportunities for collaboration, both within Google DeepMind and across Alphabet product teams, to drive the best outcomes; create connections and relationshipsEvaluate and improve processes, tools, templates and documentation for repeatability and sustainabilityLearn new business and technical skills quickly, adapt to changing environments while providing day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasksAbout youWe highly value strong Technical Program Managers who are willing to help out with whatever moves our projects forward.Minimum QualificationsExtensive knowledge and expertise in program management, able to navigate through ambiguity and adjust and adapt plans and strategies as project conditions changeAble to foster respect, inclusion, and collaboration when working with teams, and skilled in building relationships and fostering trust with a diverse group of peopleExcellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essenceProactive about learning and acquiring knowledge to enhance your domain knowledgeTechnical degree or equivalent working knowledgeKnowledge of, or curious to learn about AI/machine learning researchPreferred QualificationsSolid understanding of machine learning fundamentalsThe US base salary range for this full-time position is between $142,000 - $219,000+ bonus + equity + benefits.
