Overview
The Marketing and Events Manager will play a pivotal role in executing both marketing campaigns and events that drive lead generation and partner customer engagement. This role requires a blend of strategic marketing expertise and a strong background in event management, particularly within the B2B Payments/SaaS space. You will collaborate closely with sales and customer success teams to develop marketing strategies, build content and execute events that build relationships and deliver measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnership & Aggregator Support:
- Collaborate with the partnership team - Support the development of targeted marketing campaigns and digital marketing efforts to support MSV growth, customer expansion and product adoption.
- Large Partner Marketing Support - develop strategies and campaigns to drive usage of Splitit within Partner merchant networks. This includes Merchant adoption and end consumer usage.
- Develop engaging and insightful content to support marketing initiatives, including blogs, white papers and case studies that drive thought leadership.
- Support the sales and partnership team with sales decks, One-pagers, videos and blogs.
- Build a library of reusable resources to enable partner & merchant growth, such as pre-recorded training videos, digital collateral, email copy, demos, and other materials that can be repurposed to support ongoing education and engagement.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute trade shows, virtual conferences, industry panels, and client-specific events.
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, including registration, promotion, technology setup, and post-event follow-up.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution and memorable attendee experiences.
- Develop strategies to maximize engagement/meetings and engagement before, during, and after events.
- Partner with the sales team to create tailored event marketing strategies that align with the sales pipeline and business growth objectives.
- Create event-related content including promotional materials, agendas, speaker bios, and post-event summaries.
- Analyze and report on the performance of events and campaigns using key metrics such as lead generation, registration numbers, and ROI.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution without compromising quality.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience in a B2B environment. (Payments or Finance experience preferred)
- Strong experience with digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media) to promote events and marketing campaigns.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects and partnerships.
- Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proven track record of planning and executing both virtual and in-person events that drive lead generation and sales.
- Experience with event management tools (e.g., Eventbrite, Cvent, Hopin) and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and campaigns simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of the B2B buyer's journey, with the ability to craft messaging and event experiences tailored to different stages of the funnel.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to track and analyze metrics to assess success and optimize marketing campaigns.
- Collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work across departments.
- MBA or advanced degree in business or marketing.
- Experience within the Payments Industry.
- Expertise in B2B marketing.
