Position Highlights: Location : Near Pittsburg, TX Specialty : Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Start Date : ASAP, with ongoing coverage needed Setting : Inpatient only; no outpatient work required Shift Type : Scheduled clinical hours only Electronic Medical Records (EMR) : EPIC system Key Responsibilities: Manage and round on assigned patients within a 49-bed department Anticipated patient load: approximately 22 patients per shift Requires admission duties; hospital privileges are not mandatory Supervise support staff, including 3 RNs and 1 PA/NP Participate in specialized procedures such as: Arthrocentesis Trigger point injections Diagnostic/therapeutic taps Pain management (acute and chronic, excluding injections) EMG and nerve conduction studies Certifications Required: Board Certification : Required ACLS : Required BLS : Required License : Must be licensed in Texas or through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) Additional Details: Credentialing : Estimated to take one week, with temporary privileges available for quick onboarding Holiday Coverage : Includes major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day Travel and Lodging : Convenient access through nearby Tyler Regional or DFW airports Why This Role?
