  1. Salary: $320,000-$350,000
  2. Who May Apply: U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA policy       
  3. Job Description: Physician   Hematologist/Oncologist

Current staffing:  1 Medical Director, 2 Staff MD, 1 NP, 1 PA

As a Staff Hematologist/Oncologist, you will work directly with the Chief of the service and medical staff to provide the most effective delivery of hematological / oncological care throughout the medical center.     

  1. Potential starting base salary: $320,000 - $350,000
  2. Pre-approved Incentives Being Offered: $15,000.00
  3. Daily schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 am 4:30pm
  4. Additional night and weekend calls are distributed on an equitable basis with the other staff.
  5. Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery from any U.S. State.

  5. Malpractice Insurance VA physicians are covered under the Federal Tort Claims Act - 28 U.S.C. 1346 and 28 U.S.C 2671. Medical personnel have statutory immunity from individual malpractice liability while acting within the scope of employment; a VA physician cannot be sued in civil court for a malpractice (tort) claim.
