Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician (Physiatrist) at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. The role involves primarily outpatient care but may also include inpatient acute care. You report to the Deputy Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. 

 

Clinical (95%):

- Conduct electrodiagnostic evaluations, examination and treatment planning for general neuromuscular disorders, musculoskeletal trauma, pain, and other conditions.

- Provides comprehensive evaluation and management of spasticity including both medication management, botulism toxin injection, etc.

- Prescribe adaptive equipment such as prosthetics and mobility aids

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, nurses, social workers) to address complex rehabilitative needs.

- Participate in research, education, and quality improvement.

Administrative (5%):

- Participate in professional development activities such as clinical peer reviews, maintaining standards, and teaching students/residents.

- Engage in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation journal clubs, policy development, and educational initiatives.
