Gastroenterology Physician

Palestine Regional Medical Center, located just 45 minutes from Tyler in East Texas, is seeking a GI physician to work collaboratively with the current general surgeons and assist with reestablish our GI service line. The incoming GI will be the primary provider for scopes within the community. * Hospital employed position covering one hospital * Primarily an adult and geriatric patient base * No clinic call requirements * Hospitalists will admit patients as needed * 10 days/month including one weekend/month hospital call * Dedicated clinic and surgery days, which will be determined by the oncoming physician and PRMC * ERCP is not required * The ideal physician will be comfortable working in a solo setting and enjoys living and practicing in a rural community * Generous compensation package offered to include base salary guarantee, wRVU bonus, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, student loan repayment assistance, along with stipends for early commitment while in training Community: * Palestine is located 45 miles from neighboring Tyler, and 2 hours to both Dallas and Houston * Service area 100k * Regional airport with several airlines for convenience
