The Hollings Cancer Center s Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Medical University of South Carolina is NCI Designated, Nationally Ranked, Magnet Recognized and seeking Solid Tumor Oncologists to continue driving our cutting-edge cancer center forward and to provide top-notch patient care to our South Carolina. * The ideal candidate will be Board Certified/Eligible in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology * Eligible for SC licensure * Strong clinical experience in general medical oncology is required. Tumor specific interest/expertise in Breast Cancer, Melanoma, or Sarcoma is highly encouraged * Normal office schedule (M-F 8am 5pm) * Call would be approximately 1:6 for weekdays and 1:10 for weekends . * Up to 20% subspecialty clinic, salaried time will be provided for scholarship and 50 hours of teaching required annually. These include a highly developed clinical trials office with a growing multi-center trials network and Phase I trials program, a translational science laboratory, a robust biorepository and tissue analysis resource, and a clean-cell evaluation and therapy facility. Clinical and translational research at The Hollings Cancer Center is supported by transdisciplinary cancer teams in seven tumor specific working groups and within the university is supported by an NIH-funded Clinical and Translational Science Award. In addition, the Hollings Cancer Center functions in close partnership with pediatric oncology faculty in the recently opened Shawn Jenkins Children s Hospital.
