Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Training Program Position Summary: Tower Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a dedicated and experienced psychiatrist to serve as the Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Training Program. This role requires a minimum commitment of 40% effort towards the fellowship program, overseeing its overall administration, including recruitment, curriculum development, and compliance with ACGME standards. The Director will also provide direct clinical services (up to 0.6 FTE) at Tower Health sites including St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and 1427 Vine Street outpatient clinic located in Center City, Philadelphia. Key Responsibilities Program Administration: * Lead the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Training Program. * Develop and maintain a system for recruitment, evaluation, and selection of fellows. * Establish and monitor the goals and objectives of the training program. * Ensure compliance with ACGME/Residency Review Committee standards. Curriculum and Evaluation: * Develop and implement a curriculum evaluation system. * Evaluate trainee progress and competencies, providing regular feedback and maintaining accurate records. * Establish policies and procedures for the training program, communicating these to fellows and faculty annually. Faculty Development: * Evaluate and develop faculty performance. * Provide faculty development programs and support faculty in their roles as teachers and supervisors. Collaboration and Compliance: * Chair the Education Policy Committee and Fellowship Admissions Sub-Committee. * Ensure compliance with institutional, ACGME, and Residency Review Committee standards. * Work with the General Psychiatry Residency Training Program Director and other program directors to facilitate training programs. Clinical Supervision and Teaching: * Provide direct clinical supervision and participate in didactic and clinical conferences. * Teach and supervise both residents and fellows, including providing lectures for medical students. Clinical Responsibilities: * Provide consultation and liaison psychiatric services to patients in the Emergency Department and medical floors at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. * Provide direct patient care at or through 1427 Vine Street Clinic. * Provide direct patient care at St. Chris outpatient clinic, once established. * Serve a patient population primarily consisting of adolescents and children, with some adults. Qualifications: * Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with completed ACGME or AOA accredited residency in psychiatry and accredited fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. * Eligible for unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania. * Prior experience as program director or associate training director is highly desirable. * Eligible for appointment to the faculty at least at the level of Assistant Professor. * Strong interpersonal, clinical, and team-building skills. * Knowledgeable in multiple psychotherapeutic approaches. * Research experience preferred.
