Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification * Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Same Day Surgery unit, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. * Oversee patient care activities within the unit, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care delivery in a same-day surgery setting. * Manage the day-to-day operations of the Same Day Surgery unit, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. * Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize surgical services. * Serve as a key leader and responder during emergencies, providing direction and support to the team in high-pressure situations. Candidate requirements * A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. * Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. * Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. * Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
