Description

We'd like our P&C Manager to live in the local Vancouver area with expectations of being in office around 2 days per week on average.

Media fragmentation, changing consumer behavior, the rise of search and social, and the need to avoid commoditization is transforming the practice of Marketing & Communications. As a People & Culture (Human Resources) Manager at Quietly, you will run the People function and support our team that helps the world's leading brands earn attention, instead of simply paying to interrupt.

Working in collaboration with the senior leadership team and people managers, the position of People & Culture (Human Resources) Manager reports to the COO and provides hands-on HR, recruiting and people support for our team of over 25 full time staff.

You'll bring experience from a tech/creative company or marketing/PR agency where you have played a key role on the HR team and run, iterated on and helped build programs from the ground up such as continuous performance, OKR/goals management, total compensation, benefits, employee recognition and recruitment.

You're fully versed on new HR trends and technology, and have a track record of utilizing data and analytics to inform your approach.

What you'll do
  • Full cycle recruiting including, marketing/posting via social, screening, interviewing, agency management, and moving candidates through our ATS workflow while delivering an industry-leading experience
  • Coach, guide and support people leaders on people practices such as performance, career development and employee relations
  • Collaborate with our CEO and COO to create and deliver strategic HR initiatives including research & recommendation, ownership & participation and implementation & maintenance
  • Contribute and communicate updates at our quarterly Town Halls, Leadership team, weekly standup
  • Participate and oversee our internal Culture Committee as well as the Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging (DIEB) committee & work hand in hand with them and our external consultants
  • Administer and provide insights and recommendations from our bi-annual team member survey as well as share findings with the team
  • Become the subject matter expert in and administrator of our P&C tech stack including a goals management and professional development platform
  • Work with the senior leadership team to facilitate our annual compensation review cycle
  • Work alongside our broker and COO to administer and improve on benefits policies and programs including renewals and utilization reporting
  • Oversee all HR documentation including the management and organization of all HR data on Google Drive and P&C tech stack
  • Update and maintain our Handbook and Policies
  • Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding process from new hire orientation to exit interviews
  • Support and coordinate the continuous performance program
  • Work alongside our Office Coordinator and oversee the configuration of Quietly HQ
  • Oversee Quietly's approach to health, safety, community and environment
  • Maintain and build knowledge of trends and standard practices on the HR discipline to proactively examine and suggest improvements to culture, practices and policies
  • Other duties as periodically required and requested


What you'll bring
  • An experienced HR Business Partner, Generalist or Manager who has driven an end-to-end HR function and set the tone for culture at progressive organizations
  • CPHR designation considered an asset or working towards it
  • Experience from a tech/creative company or marketing/PR agency is highly preferred
  • Proven track record of coaching, creating trust and maintaining relationships at all levels
  • You are resourceful and will roll up your sleeves to make things happen in ambiguous situations
  • You care about communication. Written or verbal, people know what you want, what you mean or what you're asking for
  • You lead with curiosity and strive to consider all angles when making a decision, recommendation or crafting communications
  • Ability to advocate for the team and challenge senior leadership when required with tact and respect
  • You thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment


The typical hiring range for this position is $75,000-$95,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
