Leidos is seeking a Sr Production Control Manager to join our defense sector manufacturing support team. Location for work is Huntsville, Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Control Manager to lead a team of site PC Managers and individual system experts to drive standardization of material requisitioning and production planning across our five manufacturing sites.
Primary Responsibilities
This position will lead the team that oversees all manufacturing production control activities, which include: running MRP, firming purchase requisitions and manufacturing orders, establishing correct order policies based on Make-Buy and commodity types, and maintaining accurate lead times in the ERP part master table. This requires coordination with configuration management, manufacturing engineering mBOM releases, and production scheduling, which evaluates work center capacities.
This is a key position in the growing defense sector that includes several types of manufacturing processes: machining, welding, PCBA, cable assembly, clean rooms, painting, final assembly integration and testing. As a leader across several production sites, it's critical to develop standard processes, consistent KPI's and network connections to share best practices at all levels of the enterprise.

Pay Range: Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00

Basic Qualifications
- Candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field from an accredited university and have at least 8 years production control experience.
- Must have experience with the Costpoint ERP system, as well as PLM and MES software.
- Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
- Experience leading others and working in a collaborative working environment across multiple sites and with multiple organizational levels.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in multiple phases of the product life cycle to include prototyping, design and development, and full release to production.
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or MS degree.
- Solumina MES experience to go along with required Costpoint ERP experience.
- Lean manufacturing experience with Six Sigma certification.
- Proven track record of process mapping and policy creation to drive standards that increase throughput, engages the workforce in adopting change, reduces waste, and improves quality.
- Experience with SCADA software and/or MS Power BI dashboards with the ability to write queries using data from external database sources.
