SMX is seeking an Operations Engineer to support USINDOPACOM J68 portfolio of programs This position is onsite Camp HM Smith Marine Corps Base in Hawaii. Must have the ability and willingness to obtain a DoD TS/SCI clearance.

This position requires a DoD TS/SCI clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Independently manage and monitor tasks as directed from the J68 and designees
  • Provide technical experience to coordinate activities to ensure stakeholders are aligned to meet division goals
  • Prepare mature products for dissemination at high level briefs
  • Coordination point for all projects in J68 branch
  • Organize cross-functional meetings between relevant intra-agency personnel
  • Assist in the allocation of appropriate resources to ensure division strategies are completed within the given time and budget
  • Assist with knowledge management of overall division projects and strategy to ensure cohesion of effort
  • Establish effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of requirements from the government and able to advise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • The ability to provide High Level Network Architecture Diagrams and understand how to decipher them for the government
  • Coordinate and deconflict calendars to ensure consistent opportunities for collaboration
  • Participate in division performance review meetings and discussions
  • Update and maintain production and quality metrics for division
  • Assist with financial management and tracking of division budget
  • Manage the implementation and use of workflow management tools to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve communication across the organization
  • Travel up to 25%

Required Skills & Experience
  • Required Clearance: TS/SCI
  • BS/BA in Technical discipline and/or IT Management/Engineering/MBA
  • Associate degree and additional experience in relevant field may be substituted for a BS/BA
  • Minimum of 5 years of operational OR project/program management experience
  • Previous experience supporting large projects or personnel management and/or support for initiatives with technical objectives
  • Ability to complete tasks within required timeframes with no supervision
  • Expert at use of SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio and Project
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer focused
  • Capacity to learn new systems rapidly and adapt quickly to change

Desired Skills & Experience
  • 10-15 years' project/program management and/or technical experience
  • Experience with USINDOPACOM
  • Intra-agency or joint command experience
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF), eMASS, NIST policy and procedures
  • Knowledge of Cloud AWS, AZURE
  • JIRA, Confluence SME
  • Scrum Master, Agile, SME
  • Prior experience as a Network/Software/Security Engineer
  • IAT Level II/III/IAM Level II/III certification (CASP, CISSP, CCNP)
