The Position
Rightsline is looking for a creative and driven Manager for our Market Development Team in Toronto. This leader will manage an existing team responsible for generating outbound interest and qualifying interest for our go-to-market teams, with the opportunity to further build and scale the size of the team with the growth of the business.
As a Manager of our Market Development (MDR) Team, you will be responsible for the productivity and career development of a team of Market Development Representatives (MDRs). Our MDRs conduct cold outreach to generate interest in Rightsline and this role will provide the MDRs with strategic guidance on how to generate interest, qualify and sell Rightsline to prospects. You will partner closely with the Sales Leadership Team to collaborate on account strategies while consistently achieving monthly quotas at the team level.
As this role will make a large impact on our team, we're looking for someone with proven success in past sales leadership roles, including achieving/exceeding individual and team quotas consistently, hiring and mentoring exceptional MDRs, experience with tech sales, and an understanding of the value of strong customer relationships within a sales process. Applicants should have a growth mindset and be excited to work collaboratively across the revenue organization.

What you will do:
- Pipeline Development and Management: Ensure a steady flow of qualified leads for the sales team by overseeing the MDRs' outreach efforts and optimizing lead generation strategies.
- Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and mentor Market Development Representatives (MDRs), fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Goal Setting and Performance Management: Set clear goals and performance metrics for the MDR team; monitor progress and provide feedback to ensure quotas are met.
- Reporting and Data Analysis: Track and report on team performance metrics, campaign outcomes to senior management, using data to inform strategic adjustments.
- Process Changes and Enablement: Continuously evaluate and refine market development processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
- Adaptation to Market Changes: Stay informed about changes in market conditions, industry trends, and competitor activities to adjust strategies and keep the team's approach relevant.
What you will bring to the role:
- 5+ years of experience in market development, sales, or business development roles in B2B sales
- Minimum 2 years in a sales management position
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, HubSpot) and lead generation tools.
- Proven experience in managing, mentoring, and developing a team, with the ability to set clear goals, provide feedback, and motivate team members.
- Ability to develop market strategies, identify new opportunities, and align efforts with overall business goals.
- Proficient in using data and analytics tools to assess market trends, measure team performance, and inform decision-making.
- Solid understanding of sales processes, lead generation, customer outreach, and how marketing strategies impact market development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel if required, especially for market visits, conferences, and partner meetings.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate global teams and various time zones.

- Review - We review applications and screen based on a variety of criteria
- Phone - Candidates will be screened via a quick 20-minute Zoom meeting to discuss the role opportunity
