This individual will play a key role in analyzing our current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategic solutions to drive productivity and performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and develop solutions that align with organizational objectives.
- Design and implement streamlined processes, procedures, and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Utilize industry best practices and methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Develop clear documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials, to ensure effective knowledge transfer and implementation.
- Work closely with stakeholders to facilitate change management efforts and ensure successful adoption of new processes.
- Monitor and evaluate process performance metrics to track improvements and identify further optimization opportunities.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to project teams throughout the process improvement lifecycle.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- At least eight plus (8+) years of IT and business experience in business process engineering.
- At least 5 years in a combination of the following: business process improvement, process analysis and design, data analysis and interpretation, business operations, and process management.
- Specific experience with successful engagements within a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement.
- Strong understanding of business operations and processes.
- Experience with business process management software and tools.
- Prior domain industry experience at a state or federal government agency is preferred.
- Knowledge of state government policies and practices is preferred.
