About the job:
As the Director of People & Culture, you will be responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace environment. This role reports directly to the CEO and will collaborate closely with the executive team to ensure our people and culture initiatives align with our business goals and values. But this isn't your regular run of the mill HR leader, there's an ambitious twist: we want ContactMonkey to be the best place to work in Canada. And we want you to play a pivotal role in that goal.

Your impact:
- Head and build the People and Culture team at ContactMonkey and the team around it as the company grows
- Use data and analytics to assess HR initiatives' effectiveness, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve organizational performance.
- Manage quarterly and annual audits for the company
- Develop and implement all policies and procedures for the People & Culture department and ensure consistency across the company
- Run performance evaluation systems, providing feedback to employees, and ensuring that performance management processes are fair and effective.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
- Manage a team that develops and executes day-to-day people,talent acquisition and culture initiatives encompassing all aspects of life at ContactMonkey
- Handle employee relations issues, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive work environment by working closely with managers and employees to address concerns and foster a supportive and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and respected.
- Organize employee events, implement recognition programs, and promote diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Strategize how we continue to maintain and strengthen our culture as we grow
- 8+ years of experience in HR/People Operations, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Mission-driven with strong communication and collaboration skills
- The ability to commute to our downtown Toronto office 2-3 days a week
- Experience working in a startup or fast-growing tech company
- Deep understanding of Employment Standards and employment equity regulations
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment who can change direction and pivot with competing priorities
- Positive can-do attitude, team player and passionate about entrepreneurship
