Building Information Modeling (BIM) Project Leader

We've got an opportunity for you here in our College Station Water Design Center (WDC).

As part of Garver's growing College Station WDC team, you'll be using the latest BIM technology, and you'll be central to project delivery. You'll be in charge of a design squad of three to four BIM designers and technicians, leading the way when it comes to drafting, design, producing 3D Revit models, and maintaining CAD and BIM standards.

What you'll do:

  • Lead coordination between project team disciplines (civil, process, structural, mechanical, and electrical)
  • Lead development of 3D Revit models
  • Collaborate with Design Phase Managers to maintain project scope, budget, and schedule
  • Arrange necessary resources for effective file sharing across the company, with clients, sub consultants, or contractors
  • Review work of your assigned BIM designers and technicians and serve as their mentor
  • Review every plan sheet, prior to engineers' review, for assigned projects to ensure all projects adhere to company CAD/BIM standards

What you'll bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 10 or more years of CADD experience with an architectural and/or engineering design team
  • Extensive experience with Revit
  • Understanding of various building types
  • Experience with multidiscipline CAD designs (i.e. piping, structural, electrical, I&C, controls, mechanical, HVAC, process)
  • Experience with architectural, industrial, and commercial designs

Bonus points if you bring these, too:

  • Associate's degree or higher with a focus on CAD/BIM
  • Understanding of water and wastewater treatment specific equipment
  • Experience using Bluebeam software
  • Experience with file sharing protocols and other methods of file transfer
  • Experience with point clouds and point cloud processing with ReCap
  • Experience with BIM360 file sharing software
