POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Project Overview:

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) facility at Charleston, SC requires comprehensive base operating support services for the Charleston Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and its ancillary support facilities. This includes providing student support services, with such activities as the operation and cleaning of dormitories, operation of the dining facility, and training support services of various types (such as providing range masters, role players for practical exercises, computer laboratory support, equipment issues, bus transportation, etc.). Facility-based services include activities such as janitorial services, waste removal, facility and grounds maintenance, office equipment, and furniture cleaning and movement.

Position Overview:

The Deputy Project Manager will have the authority to speak for and act for the Contractor in all matters related to providing services under this contract.

This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent. If the contract is awarded, another position posting will be available on the Company Careers portal. ALUTIIQ WILL ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM INCUMBENTS CURRENTLY HOLDING THE SAME POSITION.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
  • Will have the authority to speak for and act for the Contractor in all matters related to providing services under this contract. This delegation of authority includes but is not limited to all matters concerning the day-to-day effective operation of Student Support services such as personnel supervision, training, purchasing, and cost controls.
  • Either the Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager(s) shall be on-site at the FLETC Center during all times when work is being performed. During normal duty hours, the Project Manager or Alternate(s) shall be available within thirty (30) minutes' notice to meet at the Center with Government personnel designated by the Contracting Officer to discuss contractual issues. After normal duty hours, the Project Manager or designated Alternate/ Deputy shall be available on-Center within two (2) hours.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Program Manager and project team members.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and communicating project plans.
  • Help to identify risks and issues associated with the program, and work with the Program Manager to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, highlighting any potential safety or federal compliance issues.
  • Participate in program reviews and audits, providing input and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the implementation of quality assurance procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have (4) years of college or a bachelor's degree,
  • Shall possess at least three (3) years of recent (within the past 10 years) responsible experience in the management and supervision of adult education resident facilities including facility operations maintenance, food services, housekeeping, and human resources at facilities having the approximate size, characteristics, and service mix as the FLETC Complex.
  • Shall have proficiency in oral and written communication in English.
  • Shall have basic computer skills including the ability to input data into the system and generate various reports and correspondence as required.
  • Shall have specific experience in managing various student support services including postal services, courier services, role player services, motor pool, warehouse operations, and audio-visual/computer lab management is mandatory.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
