Procurement Applications Manager

Summary:

The Procurement Applications Manager is responsible for managing the architecture, infrastructure, and processes of all Procurement applications including our Product Master Data system. This individual is expected to be the subject matter expert for the system and the primary liaison between our software vendors and SPR business users. The Application Manager will also serve as the project manager for issues and improvements related to these systems, including implementations, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Location: Smyrna, GA (Near Battery Center)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provide daily support for systems and end users; first line of response for system issues
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the applications, understand business processes, workflows, and data
  • Work with internal SPR business users (Procurement, Merchandising, Pricing, Marketing, etc.) to understand business needs, answer questions, and recommend system improvements based on usage/feedback to meet evolving business needs
  • Serve as primary point of contact for any system issues and resolve assigned tickets to minimize business impact and downtime
  • Serve as secondary point of contact for any Manhattan DFIO (Inventory Replenishment) and Bamboo Rose (Import Ordering) tickets/issues
  • Manage and monitor all data interfaces and ensure resolution
  • Manage/Track Enhancement requests and serve as liaison between IT team, 3rd party software vendor, and business users to identify and implement solutions to resolve system failures
  • Develop test cases, execute test plans, manage user acceptance testing, and evaluate any enhancements/updates
  • Develop new system enhancements, draft instructions, and document new changes
  • Communicate system enhancements or bug fixes to users
  • Create, maintain and execute SQL statements
  • Assist with the installation of software, patches, and troubleshoot issues to maintain a stable and reliable production environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date design documents as changes are made
  • Maintain and update internal user and admin manuals that can be referenced by business users of the systems
  • Maintain access security for assigned applications
  • Responsible for validations, configuration changes, UI changes, exports, data queries, and monitoring system performance
  • Coordinate with IT and other departments the integration of system with other systems
  • Train team members in the applications and effective usage
  • Other duties as necessary or assigned

  • Working knowledge of Precisely Enable, Manhattan Inventory Replenishment and/or Bamboo Rose is a plus
  • Prior supply chain experience, familiarity with cloud-based systems, ability to problem solve and make decisions
  • Experience with Product Master Data systems, preferably Precisely Enable
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders
  • Analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
  • VTL knowledge preferable

Education and/or Experience:
  • Undergraduate degree preferred with a BA/BS in a technology driven or quantitative field of study - Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain or 5-10 years in a similar role.
  • Experience maintaining application security
  • Experience using a large scale database
  • Previous experience in IT system admin experience preferable
  • Experience with Precisely Enable system preferable

Ability to read and interpret documents such as release notes and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, margins and percentages. Understanding of basic algebra.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to organize and prioritize.
