Description
Our customer, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), provides, operates, and assures command and control of the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA-provided capabilities and services.
The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract has an opening for a Network Administrator in Scott AFB, IL. The Network Administrator will perform sustainment, maintenance, Problem and Change management services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for performing and training team on the following duties:
• Perform tasks related to the design, implementation and integration of network changes and sustainment of customer systems.
• Conduct planning and performance of analytical research, design development, and other tasks to align with customer specifications.
• Control network systems to ensure uptime and connectivity.
• Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.
• Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large scale, integrated projects.
• Perform a variety of analytical tasks which include hardware and software design and implementation.
• Provide mentorship and act as a technical resource for lower-level network administrators.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 4-8 years of overall related experience, 10+ years of experience will suffice in lieu of degree. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, e.g. Security+ CE or higher.
• Currently possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to acquire a Top Secret clearance.
• Experience analyzing VLAN, routing, IP addressing and subnetting.
• Experience with Juniper firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Experience with virtual networking.
• Experience ports and protocols.
• Understanding of VPN Tunneling, DNS, Access Control Lists, NAT
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience implementing and ensuring compliance of DISA STIGs
• Excellent project, technical, interpersonal, presentation, and problem management skills.
• Extensive network integration experience for a variety of network protocol standards.
• Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts.
• Basic System Administration/Engineering experience (Linux, Windows, Active Directory)
• Splunk Experience
• Nutanix and/or VMWare experience
• Network diagram documentation
• PaloAlto experience
• Previous DISA Global experience
