To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Debug Technician located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Debug Technician's role conducts, tests, and troubleshoots electronic product, components and systems to ensure production quality standards are met.
What a typical day looks like:
- Ensures that test processes are within all safety specifications.
- Coordinates and ensures that effective preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and daily measurement schedules are in place for each test and burn-in process.
- Follows Engineering test processes.
- Configures/flashes firmware on Sub-assemblies and connects Ethernet connections between unit(s).
- Troubleshoots/debugs at multiple system to components levels. Ability to determine workmanship errors and drive back through quality.
- Performs module verification.
- Be able to troubleshoot wiring of units using schematic diagram and assembly process.
- First line support for workstation and line issues.
- Log fail defects and address trending failures.
- 2+ years of experience and associate degree, military technical training or equivalent experience and training.
- Requires ability to read schematic\drawing and use measurement instruments as well as the ability to interpret a variety of instructions
- Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: schematics, mechanical assembly, PCB point to point wiring; Cables: connector/ wire soldering; Testing: oscilloscope, cable & harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer; Inspection: PCB loaded, components, cable/harness, microscope
