About the Role:
The Vice President, Sales Operations will lead the sales operations function for a medical group specializing in hospital-based services, including emergency medicine, hospital medicine, critical care, and anesthesia. This role will play a key part in supporting the commercialization efforts of our new managed services partnerships, as well as the expansion of our long-term accountable care organization (ACO).
The VP, Sales Ops will be responsible for leading and optimizing the sales operations function to drive sales performance and efficiency. This role will oversee critical aspects of the sales organization, including sales forecasting and analysis, strategy and territory planning, training and development, lead generation support, and the optimization of sales processes and tools. The VP, Sales Operations, will partner closely with leadership to implement strategies that drive revenue growth, improve productivity, and ensure that sales teams are well-equipped to meet their goals.
This leader will also play a key role in managing sales compensation, incentives planning, and the administration of sales technology solutions to enhance overall sales effectiveness.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Sales Forecasting & Analysis:
- Leading the development and execution of sales forecasting models and analytics to support revenue planning and performance tracking
- Providing insights to leadership based on data-driven analysis, enabling accurate forecasting and decision-making
- Sales Strategy & Territory Planning:
- Collaborating with senior leadership to design and implement sales strategies that align with business objectives
- Overseeing territory planning, ensuring optimal coverage, balanced workloads, and growth potential across markets
- Regularly assessing and adjusting plans to maximize sales productivity
- Sales Training & Development:
- Developing and overseeing comprehensive training programs to ensure that the sales team is well-equipped with the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to succeed
- Driving initiatives to support continuous learning and professional development across all levels of the sales organization
- Lead Generation Support:
- Partnering with marketing and demand generation teams to align lead generation efforts with sales goals
- Ensuring that the sales team has access to high-quality leads and tools to effectively engage prospects and move them through the sales funnel
- Sales Process Optimization & Effectiveness:
- Reviewing, refining, and implementing sales processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Identifying bottlenecks in the sales cycle and introducing solutions to streamline processes, reduce friction, and enhance overall sales performance
- Sales Technology & Tools:
- Overseeing the selection, implementation, and administration of sales technology tools, including CRM systems and other sales enablement platforms
- Ensuring that sales teams have access to the best tools to track performance, manage leads, and close deals
- Sales Compensation & Incentives Planning:
- Designing and managing sales compensation plans, ensuring they are aligned with business goals and are motivating for the sales team
- Administering incentive programs to drive high performance and reward achievement
- Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of compensation plans and making adjustments as needed to support revenue growth
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Working closely with finance, marketing, HR, and product teams to ensure alignment and support for sales operations
- Collaborating with these teams to drive initiatives that enhance sales performance and deliver results across the organization

Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or a similar role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
- Strong track record in driving sales performance, managing compensation plans, and optimizing sales processes
- Experience with CRM systems, sales analytics, and sales enablement tools
