The Presidio Trust is seeking a Corporate Sponsorships Manager in the Marketing and Communications Department. The Presidio Trust is an innovative federal agency that stewards and shares the history, beauty, and wonder of the Presidio for everyone to enjoy forever. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Sponsorships Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of the Presidio Trust's corporate sponsorship program. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with corporate sponsors, ensuring alignment with the Trust's mission to preserve, enhance, and share the Presidio with the public while advancing its triple bottom line of people, planet, and performance. Acting as the primary liaison, the Sponsorships Manager ensures that sponsorship agreements are executed seamlessly, sponsor expectations are exceeded, and mutual goals are achieved. This role combines strategic planning, project execution, and relationship management to deliver impactful sponsorship activations that enhance both the Trust's brand and its financial sustainability
This is a full-time position with benefits and a starting pay range of $108,547 to $123,745, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The starting base salary is dependent on the experience and qualifications of the candidate. Applications received by December 6, 2024 will receive first consideration.
Responsibilities
- Strategic account management; lead account management efforts, shaping and executing strategic direction for corporate sponsorship accounts and sponsorship activities roadmap in alignment with Agency strategic goals and values, working cross-functionally across highly matrixed internal and external teams.
- Executes and tracks the Presidio's corporate sponsorship activations through project tracking tool, like Asana to ensure seamless execution and accountability
- Drives content collaboration and development between sponsors and internal Presidio teams to promote and highlight sponsorship activations.
- Develops, manages, and reports out on custom menu of sponsorship activities based on a pre-approved suite of activations.
- Acts as the central liaison between Trust stakeholders and corporate sponsors, ensuring clear communication, alignment and delivery of shared goals.
- Coordinates and drives content across presidio channels (campaigns, social media, CRM, storytelling, special events etc.) between internal stakeholders and sponsors.
- Develop and present regular sponsorship activation performance reports, offering data-driven insights to demonstrate success and inform strategic adjustments
- Develop financial cost calculations on Sponsorship proposals to assess valuation and ensure ROI to the organization
- Research, evaluate, and assess viability of potential corporate sponsors.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current and prospective sponsors. Act as the primary point of contact for all sponsor inquiries and requests. Ensure sponsors' expectations are met by delivering high-quality service and maintaining excellent communication.
- Research new trends and news related to partnership marketing, bring innovative ideas to the sponsorship program.
- Provides logistical support for prospecting meetings, online and in park.
- Assists in the preparing of persuasive sales presentations and pitch decks.
- Contribute to the sponsorship platform and pipeline strategy through collaborative brainstorming and insights
- Provides marketing support to Trust business-lines, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- B.A. or B.S. in Marketing or Business, MBA Preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience building and implementing marketing sponsorships.
- Demonstrates solid business acumen and business writing capabilities in the development of sponsorship proposals and other related Presidio documentation and materials.
- Possesses keen understanding of brand marketing principals, consumer insights and data, and 360 marketing campaign planning and implementation, site, social media, etc., and how to effectively plan and leverage all in support of corporate sponsorship program.
- Knowledge of how to shape marketing strategies and leverage various marketing levers (PR, site, social, digital, integrated 360 campaigns, OOH, consumer insights, etc.) to evaluate and recommend ways for information to reach shared target audiences.
- Ability to assess and effectively manage the risks associated with corporate sponsorships and ensures they adhere to and support the Presidio's mission, business objectives, and activities.
- Ability to understand issues related to the decision-making process, and analyze situations fully and accurately, and reach productive decisions.
- Knowledge of customer-centric practices and the values and practices that align both Presidio's interests and customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
- Knowledge of a variety of formats, styles, and techniques for creating and publishing materials, ability to develop and review these materials to promote business related activities
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
- Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize the means, tools, techniques and media to communicate information about the organization internally and externally
