General Orthopedic Surgery Locums Job in Iowa Seeking One FULL Week per Month of Coverage Starting January 2025 Jackson and Coker is working with a facility in eastern Iowa that needs a general Orthopedic Surgeon to cover one full week per month (Monday at 7A - Monday at 7A) starting in January 2025 and ongoing through the year. Look forward to an assignment that is easy to travel to and will provide you with a set schedule while you cover to eliminate all uncertainty about what to expect. Coverage Need: Seeking one week of coverage per month (Monday at 7A - Monday at 7A) Will cover Monday - Thursday from 8A-5P + Friday from 8A-4P doing scheduled procedure in either the inpatient or outpatient setting Will cover night call from 5P - 7A & weekend call on Friday at 4PM - Monday at 7AM Details for Assignment : - Active Iowa license or LOQ (letter of qualification) with the IMLC required at time of submission - Board Certification or truly Board Eligibility required - General Orthopedics + fracture care and infection care - Will be needed to cover and doing scheduled outpatient or inpatient (block time) procedures - Cover night & weekend call coverage (5P - 7A) on weeknights & 4P Friday through Monday at 7A - Average procedure volume: 2-3 cases each day - Full hospital surgical support staff + anesthesia coverage - Patient population: 96% adult population + 4% adolescents/PEDS - Facility detail: 150+ bed facility, level III trauma center, Cerner EMR - Must have minimal NPDB hits (little-to-no malpractice settlements) & must be able to provide two references at time of presentation Jackson and Coker offers: + Weekly Direct Deposit + Top Rated Malpractice Insurance + In-House
