Overview:

Respiratory Therapists may be eligible for a relocation bonus up to $8,000. 

 

When you join our Respiratory Therapist team, you will help advance modern medicine by providing your skills, experience, and commitment to compassionate care. As a Respiratory Therapist (RT) you will:

  • Perform respiratory procedures under physician direction in all patient areas.
  • Be responsible for patient assessments, care plans, plan implementation and evaluation and revision of therapy plan as needed.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure the most effective and efficient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Utilize knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care.
  • Support the organization vision and mission and practices performance improvement techniques to assure the delivery of the most effective patient care.
  • Cover both Jordan Valley and Jordan Valley West locations.
Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified Respiratory Therapist candidates will need the following:

  • 1 year of respiratory therapy experience, preferred
  • Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred
  • High School Diploma required
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program, i.e. CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP required
  • Must have current state Licensure (RLT) in applicable state of employment. Must have CRT by NBRC required
  • BLS required from the American Heart Association
  • Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire or obtain within 6 months of hire (for locations in Kansas, ACLS is required within 1 year of hire/transfer date).
  • NRP certification and PALS certification upon hire or obtain within 6 months of hire for: St. Anthony North Health, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Mary Corwin, St. Thomas More, Mercy, Longmont.

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Following a major expansion, Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley's capacity tripled, now housing 171 beds to serve our growing community. We have invested substantially in advanced technology and state-of-the-art equipment, which has attracted our top-notch medical staff and a team of highly skilled nurses. Our entire hospital team is dedicated to providing expert whole person care in a warm, family-friendly environment. We are a Level III Trauma center, STEMI Cardiac receiving center, and certified stroke treatment center. Recently given the Women’s Choice Award for America’s 100 Best Hospitals Emergency Care, we are the only designated trauma center west of I-15 in the Salt Lake Valley.

At Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley, our Respiratory Therapy department consists of nearly 25 talented employees including respiratory therapists, clinical coordinators, supervisors, and a charge respiratory therapist. As a level 3 trauma center that has recently expanded to triple our capacity, we care for patients of all age groups. In West Jordan, we are known for a positive and caring culture within the relaxed suburban area. Many of our employees have several years of experience within our facilities and their tenure shows they enjoy their work and are committed to excellent care to support each other and our community.
