Zoox’s System Design and Mission Assurance (SDMA) team constructs the Safety Case and validates that our vehicles are safe enough to be deployed for autonomous driving. SDMA enables Zoox to rapidly iterate and safely expand capabilities through trustworthy, innovative, and pragmatic safety engineering. We are looking for an engineer to support the development of the tools and process for requirements management within the SDMA organization.In this role, you will:Strategize methods and coordinate with partnering organizations to ensure effective bi-directional communication of requirement and system development status throughout the program lifecycleDevelop and maintain tools to streamline and automate requirement development tasks, including statusing, baselining, establishing traceability, and managing changesDevelop and maintain dashboards to illustrate progress against targets and highlight focus areasQualificationsBS degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 2 years of experience in managing requirementsExperience with Python for automation of tasks and interfacing with commercial tools via APIsExperience designing and developing automated dashboards using data visualization tools such as Grafana or Looker to monitor operational metricsFamiliarity with a typical functional safety lifecycleExcellent EQ with an empathetic communication style that fosters connection, collaboration and motivationBonus QualificationsExperience in the automotive industry or the autonomous driving technology industryWorking experience with safety-critical systems, applying industry safety standards such as MIL-STD-882, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, ARP4754, etc.Compensation and BenefitsThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $123,000 to $177,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
