Join us as we revolutionize kidney care and other vital organ support.*Completion of the proposed separation of Kidney Care from Baxter into a standalone company (to be named Vantive) remains subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions.Head of Acute Portfolio Market Access, Reimbursement and Policy - Kidney Care will be responsible for Market Access, Reimbursement and Policy strategies for the Acute portfolio:Creates and executes Health economic and Market Access strategies for the Acute portfolioInput into strategic and business planning activitiesRepresents the voice of non-clinical stakeholders, establishes the access and evidence requirements for successful new product development and introduction, collaborates closely with R&D, Upstream Marketing and Medical AffairsThis position reports directly to VP Global HEMAP and will work in close collaboration with multiple internal partners and stakeholders, including, but not limited to, the ACUTE global and regional access teams, global and regional Marketing teams and Sales leadership, Medical Affairs and R&D.  POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESLead HEMAR Strategy for the ACUTE portfolioExecute strategies in focus geographies in collaboration with regional teamsResponsibility for economic evidence generation for payers and providers including building capability across the commercial (evidence-based selling) and Medical Affairs organizationStrategic partner for New Product Development (R&D) value proposition: Non-clinical stakeholder dimension, value-based pricing, target product profile (TPP)FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL CAPABILITIESMARKET ACCESS ASSESSMENT & STRATEGY – LeaderStrong understanding of global healthcare environment (including reimbursement, policy and HTA) Develop strategies for market access and adoptionProvide inputs to relevant new product development, life-cycle optimization, licensing & acquisitionSupport execution of commercial strategies with global/regional/country commercial partnersUnderstand commercial financial information related to the business, KPIs and financial forecasting metrics and trends impacted by market access, funding and reimbursement STRATEGIC THINKING and INNOVATION- ExpertApply HEMAR perspectives and knowledge to current and future portfolio and solution planning to deliver mid and long-term business success.Working with cross-functional teams to develop a clear set of goals and plans.Understand and shape innovation strategy to optimize value, access and adoption Assess, shape and plan for quantifying potential value propositions and TPPs for NPD to optimize market access and adoptionIntegration of value-based thinking and market access requirements into strategies, TPPs and Evidence Generation Strategies (EGS)EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSProven experience of global market access, HTA, reimbursement and evidence generationExperience of at least 2 out of the following: Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Health Technology Assessment, Market Access, Real World Evidence (RWE)Minimum of 15 years in field of Health Economics and Market Access including global, in country and regional rolesExperienced in collaborating and publishing with KOLsEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSAdvanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD) in health economics, HTA and or StatisticsWe understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $168,000 - $231,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive .
