Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer who will be responsible for supporting plant operations. This role requires extensive root-cause driven resolution, with a focus on optimizing polymerization processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement across all operations. The ideal candidate will be adept at troubleshooting complex issues, implementing sustainable solutions, and leading initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and product consistency.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the polymerization processes, ensuring efficient and consistent production of high-quality polyamides.
  • Optimize polymerization conditions and processes to ensure that all polyamide products meet or exceed quality standards, including molecular weight, viscosity, and other key properties.
  • Lead and support efforts to improve process efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall production output.
    • Apply root cause analysis and technical troubleshooting methods to identify and resolve process disruptions, quality issues, and equipment malfunctions.
    • Investigate and address complex operational challenges; implement effective and sustainable corrective actions that focus on long-term reliability and process stability, reducing the likelihood of recurring issues.
    • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing plant performance, product quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with the quality team and production planning teams, maintaining a strong focus on consistency and customer satisfaction.
  • Champion safety and environmental best practices, ensuring that all operations comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement, ensuring that safety considerations are integral to all operational activities.
  • Support operations and maintenance with energy control procedures, equipment maintenance preparation and return-to-service activities


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Polymer Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a continuous chemical, or comparable, manufacturing environment with a proven track record of effectively troubleshooting and solving complex operational issues.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements, enhancing product quality, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making and process optimization.


Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience in Petrochemical/chemical-based manufacturing, especially polyamide polymerization, preferred
  • Ability to be self-directed in managing multiple priorities
  • Experience with process simulation tools such as ASPEN, HTRI, and pipe hydraulics programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization and ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
