Job : Board Certified Full-Time Permanent Gastroenterologist needed - Upstate New York A successful healthcare system is looking for a full-time permanent Board Certified Gastroenterologist Compensation: $600,000 base; annual wRVU bonus of $65.00 per wRVU is paid for all wRVU s over 8,250 for Y1 and 9,150 for Y2 and Y3. Benefits: Eligible for hospital provided benefits including health insurance, participation in hospital 403(b) retirement plan, 20 days of PDO, plus 6 holidays and 5 days CME. Sign-On / Relocation Bonus: $25,000. Practice Situation: Goal is to recruit a full-time physician to join 1 MD and our 2 NP s. The goal would be to have one MD doing procedures each day, Monday-Friday. Office Schedule: 4 day, 40 hour week. Goal is to operate outpatient practice Monday-Friday, with 2-2.5 days in the Endo Suite (one full day would be on Fridays) and 1.5-2 days in the office. Call: As the practice continues to grow and additional providers are added, hospital and physicians will sit together to determine future call requirements so as to maintain compliance with federal and state regulations governing availability to patients during daytime office hours as well as after hours and weekends. Employment Contract: 3 year contract with automatic renewal clause Physician Engagement: Gastroenterologists are expected to attend medical staff department meetings, serve on medical staff committees as requested, and actively participate in relationship building activities with referral sources, including primary care physicians and the community (i.e. schools, business, etc.). The organization s marketing and its business development staff will assist in this endeavor. Competencies: Gastroenterologists should be competent and interested in providing services in this subspecialty, including esophagoscopy, esophageal sclerotherapy and band ligation for varices, esophageal manometry, foreign body removal, gastroscopy, duodenoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, liver biopsy, and PEG insertion/removal. ERCP and ERCP with sphincterotomy preferred but not required Duties: Gastroenterologists will be required to perform procedures, as noted above, in the endoscopy suite and in the operating room. They will see patients in the outpatient practice office and provide consultations for inpatients and emergency room. Endoscopy Suite/Equipment: The Suite is newly renovated and has 4 procedure rooms with an adjacent sterile processing room. Admitting, procedure, discharge room, a private consultation room and family waiting room are all located in the same area. Equipment, including new EUS and ERCP. About the facility: 101-bed acute care hospital and a 160-bed extended-care facility (ECF) and short-term rehab facility licensed by the State of New York and operated not-for-profit corporation.
