Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the Global CB audit process through partnership with DQS
- Maintain periodic meetings with DQS Liaison to Coherent
- Resolve logistical issues that may arise with DQS audit scheduling
- Manager the posting of ISO certificates to SharePoint and keep these up-yo-date
- Support VP, Quality, Architecture and Performance Excellence in Special Projects relating to the Global QMS and the QTU
- Aid in development of Global QMS initiatives, associated procedures, and training decks
- Support Coherent as needed in development and extension of the Quality Transformation Unification
- Ensure Global SharePoint Site is up-to-date at all times
- Support the Global Internal Quality Audit process
- Perform internal quality audits as assigned at various Coherent Divisions
- Mentor Sites in implementation of Global Internal Quality Audit process
- Manage the implementation of various Coherent Quality databases
- Manager the tactical implementation of the Qualityze 8D C/A database
- Aid in development and implementation of other Coherent Global databases, such as an Internal Audit Application
- Support NoCal QMS in legacy Finisar Sites
- Support transition from Agile CAPA to Qualityze 8D
- Support tactical QMS needs as required
- Able to balance financial and quality objectives
- Management of Quality organizations
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and be effective in maintaining and improving them
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and ability to comprehend and communicate at a high level with executives, senior managers, and global customers, suppliers, and principals at different sites
- Solve complex problems using intuition, induction, deduction, analysis of data, and advanced quality tools, and structured problem-solving methods
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and best practices
- Be in technical field, preferably Statistics or Engineering
- Able to work closely and effectively with a large team of cross-functional engineers, managers and executives
- BA in technical field, preferably Statistics or Engineering
- 15-20 years Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or Quality Consulting
- Extensive experience with Quality Systems
- 15-20 years of experience in manufacturing
- 10 years of experience in using structured techniques to solve complex problems
- Experience in Project Management and Software Management
- Office environment with some travel
