The work requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and others in person and on telephones. Work activities involve combinations of sitting/standing for extended periods.

Position Purpose:
Builds business partner relationships with First Fed managers and employees and provides support using HR programs, policies and practices that encourage employee engagement and manager capability at First Fed.
Essential Functions:
Compensation
- Approve new hire comp and wage increases for non-exempt employees.
- Manage the operations of the monthly commission and quarterly incentive plans including acknowledgment and payout processes
- Support the process for issuing Restricted Stock Awards (RSA's).
Benefits
- Conduct New Hire HR Benefits Orientation and support benefits enrollment for new hires.
- Manage benefit vendor relationships the administration of employee benefit programs. Coordinate and administer annual insured benefit renewal and open enrollment process.
- Participate in annual 401k and ESOP audits.
Employee Lifecycle Support
- Accurately process new hires, terminations, and job changes in the HRIS.
- Provide counsel and support to supervisors of non-exempt employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Consult with managers on ER and performance issues for non-exempt employees.
- Provide first-responder client support in answering questions coming through the HR Group email.
- Manage annual processes for performance reviews and merit increases.
- Support the Referral process by processing payouts and appreciation hours in a timely manner.
- Administer Exit Interview survey process, provide quarterly overview and analysis of results.
Data & Reporting
- Maintain full knowledge of HRIS functions and troubleshoot issues.
- Run employee reports in HRIS on regularly scheduled cadences for internal partners, and provide ad hoc reports and analysis as requested.
- Maintain employee files, ensuring timely and accurate e-filing of all documents.
- Other HR-related tasks as needed, including, but not limited to supporting FMLA approval process, working with IT to provide 5-day off reporting, and other ad hoc requests.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and reporting functions to provide regular, timely reporting tosenior managers.
- Coordinate and submit all annual reporting as necessary to meet legal requirements.
HR Information
- Manage the maintenance of the HR Hub, Supervisor Hub and DEI site with current HR policies, processes, programs, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain current knowledge and awareness of all HR laws and regulations, as well as all First Fed HR policies
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or HR certificate and 1-3 years of progressively responsible HR experience preferred.
- Continuous process improvement mindset.
- Ability to provide analysis of results to determine impact on business results.
- Proven experience operating under pressure with tight timelines and prioritizing multiple projects at once, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent skills in writing, editing, and developing presentation materials required.
- Thorough knowledge of the processes and procedures related to human resource functional areas.
- Thorough knowledge of pertinent federal/state employment laws.
- Ability to effectively deal with rapidly changing organizational issues and manage the impacts of change on the organization, its culture, and employees.
- Demonstrated effective and professional communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to foster teamwork, collaboration, and open communications at all levels throughout the organization.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to plan, schedule and work both independently and in teams within a service-oriented organization.

Pay Range
- The pay range for this position is $65,478.40 - $111,313.28
- The typical hiring range for this position is $65,478.40 - $82,650.11
- The incentive plan for this position is the Staff Support Incentive plan. It is paid out quarterly with a 5% target payout.
