Java Developer

The objective is to procure the services of a senior Java developer with experience in Java version 8 or higher, Hibernate, Log4J, Oracle database, Git and Jenkins. The senior Java developer shall have strong design, development, debugging and problem-solving skills.

The Java developer will work very closely with the team members on the tasks/user stories assigned through Sprint planning. The developer will participate in all Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities such as analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. Developer will make necessary changes to the code based on the comments provided by District staff during code review and flagged by the deployment tools.

Senior Developer Requirements:
• 5 plus years of Java programming experience
• 3 plus years of Jersey REST API or REST API expertise in general
• 3 plus years of SQL scripting experience
• 3 plus years of Hibernate experience
• 3 plus years of Application server experience such as JBoss, Tomcat etc
• 2 plus years of Maven build tool experience
• 2 plus years of continuous integration (CI) and deployment tools such as Jenkins
• 2 plus years of experience using Git for source/version control
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT related field
• Ability to work in an Agile team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
