Smartly's Global Partnerships Team is responsible for growing our strategic partnerships with platforms and integrated partners. As a part of Smartly's journey becoming a multi-platform player, we need to nurture and improve our relationship with platform partners like Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest & Meta in order to drive new business, retain & grow existing customers, and improve our product-market fit and deliver cross-functional solutions. We are looking for an experienced Partnerships professional to join us on that journey!
As a Partner Development Lead for our Google Partnership you will work closely with the regional GTM teams, product management teams, marketing teams, and multiple other functions across the company to strengthen Smartly's position globally. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with creativity to execute on high-impact programs. You will play a key role in developing growth strategies and executing strategic projects with Google. You'll be at the forefront of the fast-paced digital marketing industry, allowing you to continue to learn & develop at speed whilst also growing and nurturing your own annual target, managing exec-level relationships and scaling the operations of an ambitious growth company.
Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and driving go-to-market programs for our Google partnership, coordinating and educating Google partner, sales, and GTM teams, identifying and breaking through sales, activation, and program blockers, and growing Smartly's Google program through the flywheel of product development, GTM, customer adoption, and identifying new opportunities.

The base pay range for this position is as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus. We take into consideration an individual's background, expertise, and experience in determining final salary. - Develop and drive go-to-market programs for our Google partnership
- Collect sales team and customer feedback on GTM and product efficacy to provide product and tech teams with insights that will help prioritize platform-specific feature roll-outs
- Manage and grow relationships at and across Google sales teams to drive Smartly awareness and adoption in order to drive future growth, expansion, and profitability
- Understand our Google product integration strategies, to evangelize and drive wide-scale adoption of Smartly across Google
- Play a key role in moving the company strategy forward with Google via a fluent understanding of other Smartly teams connected strategies and goals
- Explore and scope emerging ways to expand Smartly market share, identify new partnership opportunities, and capitalize on emerging trends across Google.
- Act as a key Smartly POC for Google sales and commercial teams
- Be a Google platform expert to provide input for independent strategic decisions
- 7+ years of experience managing partnerships and/or business development efforts
- Previous experience of working with Google in a partnerships capacity, as well as strong knowledge of the ad-tech space
- Demonstrated success negotiating enterprise-level business terms with partners
- A strong sense of urgency around delivering on team and individual projects
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to build materials and present findings effectively at the executive management level
- Successful track record in identifying, engaging and driving innovative integrations
- A demonstrated ability to evangelize and influence across all levels of an organization
- Owned outright or significantly contributed to a large P&L in a growth business
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, MBA preferred
