Facility in Newport News, VA seeking GI locums coverage Rates - $3000/day plus $450/hr call back Job Overview: * Start Date: Open (immediate need due to provider medical leave). * Practice Setting: Acute care community hospital. * Clinical Focus: Inpatient consults for adult patients in gastroenterology. Key Details: * Call Ratio: All. * Average Patient Volume: * Hospital-Based Patients: 5-10 per day. * Support: Solo practice. * EMR: Epic. Required Procedures: * Lower GI Endoscopy: Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). * Upper GI Endoscopy: * Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy. * Endoscopy with Biopsy, PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy). * Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser). Requirements: * Board Certified in Gastroenterology: Required. * Active Virginia License: Required. * Certifications: BLS and ACLS (Required). * Experience: Proficiency in listed procedures.
