Purpose
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for planning, leading, directing, and coordinating all human resource activities to support the organization's mission, strategy, and ensure compliance with human resource laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Human Resource strategies and initiatives that align with the overall organizational strategy.
- Develop, implement, and manage policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy.
- Monitor and ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and best practices, including (but not limited to) FMLA, ADA, WC, and EEO requirements.
- Oversee and/or support management of talent acquisition, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Oversee and/or support design, implementation, and management of comprehensive training and development programs.
- Oversee management of employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions to ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws regulations, and requirements.
- Provide oversight and guidance to leadership on handling, escalation, and corrective/disciplinary actions related to employee attendance, behavioral, and performance issues.
- Support current and future business needs through development, engagement, motivation, and retention of human capital.
- Oversee payroll, paid time off, and leave management programs.
- Oversee new employee onboarding and the annual performance review program.
- Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Establish, track, and report on human resources key performance indicators to executive management.
- Author, revise, and maintain standard operating procedures for human resource processes.
- Maintain a working knowledge of human resource trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures.
- Develop and manage the department budget.
- Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for department.
- Manage direct reports.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to develop leadership in direct reports and department management.
- Establish and monitor objective annual goals for direct reports.
- Conduct performance reviews and establish performance improvement plans as needed.
- Recruit, interview, and select personnel for hire.
- Travel domestically up to 15% to attend offsite meetings, conferences, and support business initiatives.
- Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality for scheduled work hours and meetings. Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities within defined timeframes.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during weekdays or weekends with reasonable advance notice to support business/operational needs when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management business administration, or related field.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in human resources with at least 3 years in a management
- Clearance of favorable background investigation required.
