101.7 The Truth and Good Karma Brands (GKB) are searching for a top-performing Director of Sales. The Director of Sales will manage and oversee the sales operations within 101.7 The Truth. They will be responsible for designing plans that meet and exceed sales targets while cultivating relationships in the community and with our advertising partners. They will also educate our partners on how our services can help them meet and exceed their business goals.
The Role of the Director of Sales
The role will provide support and guidance to the sales team, creating and communicating the core values and evolving culture of GKB. They will also manage sales performance to achieve sales goals. The role will be primarily responsible for hiring and managing the career trajectory of our marketing consultants in their account executive role.

Daily Responsibilities of a Director of Sales
- Lead, manage and cultivate an elite sales team
- Provide feedback for all sales teammates and coach, advise and/or mentor, as necessary
- Help shape sales strategy for 101.7 The Truth
- Responsible for achieving sales budget for sales team
- Participate and lead weekly sales meetings
- Understand and effectively communicate the 101.7 The Truth value proposition
- Help sales team organize campaigns using 101.7 The Truth assets
- Create strong relationships with key current and future advertising partners of 101.7 The Truth and GKB
- Set, attend, and lead meetings within the sales process with current and future advertising partners of 101.7 The Truth and be active on meetings every day with and without Marketing Consultants
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of complete portfolio of sales solutions for current partners and new business development
- Ability to identify and overcome partner objections and empower and coach sales team to do the same
- Collaborate with all departments to innovate and develop new opportunities that are aligned with company strategy
- Responsible for training new sales teammates and growth and education of current sales teammates
- Other assigned tasks
- Be a Good Karma Brands ambassador by adhering to the GKB core values: Listen, Be Honest, Follow Through, Work Hard, Teamwork and Over Deliver
Preferred knowledge, skills, and qualifications
- 5+ years of sales and 2+ years of sales management experience
- Proven leadership and management experience
- Previous media sales experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM
