The Opportunity:

Join WSP's Advisory team supporting our industrial and resource sector clients who have facilities and assets across the globe. You'll be a trusted advisor, often embedded with their teams, providing boots-on-the-ground support to site staff. You will focus on their asset management processes and practices, ultimately to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness, increase reliability and improve plant performance.

What you can expect to do here:
  • You'll be travelling to client industrialy sites which could be located in any number of countries globally on a regular basis, and can be through a rotational fly-in fly-out schedule ;
  • You'll be coaching our clients and their site staff on specific asset management discipline areas in order to uplift the their capability;
  • Your 'll be uplifting the client and site staff around the following focus initially will be in three core discipline areas: maintenance work management, defect elimination and shutdown management; however, your role is expected to evolve into a broader scope of asset management advisory services.
  • You'll be building great relationships and connect with staff in order to be successful in providing coaching
  • You'll be having deep knowledge of the specific scope discipline and be the subject matter expert considering the years of direct experience you have with maintenance work management, or defect elimination and shutdown management for mining or industrial sites.;


What you'll bring to WSP:

While the following criteria are desirable, we welcome applicants that are experienced in similar settings, are comfortable coaching and encouraging client staff to improve their quality management, change management, asset management and reliability maintenance practices.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience within the mining and/or manufacturing industries. And
  • Pproven experience in at least one of the following areas, project dependent:
  • General reliability engineering knowledge, and ability to coach on defect elimination processes
  • General maintenance work management knowledge, and ability to coach senior leaders or frontline workers
  • Mining Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME)
  • Mining fixed plant (FXP)
  • Aluminium smelting or
  • Alumina refining
  • Other similar manufacturing/smelting industry experience
