Software Engineer- Sr. (TS/SCI, CI Poly preferred) (3739)

SMX is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer - Sr. to support the development and sustainment phases of a project relative to mission planning software supporting the IC Community. This position is hybrid requiring a few days a week in Chantilly, VA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide DevSecOps support for an enterprise system
  • Develop and document software development plans for mission critical aircraft systems
  • Lead implementation of software development plans and practices
  • Coordinate with infrastructure and development team members to define and deploy development pipelines for new and legacy software products
  • Coordinate with systems engineering in the development of software requirements
  • Advise teams on advanced technologies, toolsets, and frameworks for implementation in emerging software products
  • Develop and maintain mission critical software following modern software practices

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Clearance: TS/SCI, CI Poly preferred
  • Hybrid on site support in Chantilly, VA
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration and software testing.
  • 5+ years of experience shall have consisted of performing software engineering functions for a DoD or IC community.
  • Experience with the Westfield Customer
  • Experience with AWS Cloud
  • Ability to achieve AWS Cloud Practitioner certification in 30 days
  • Ability to achieve AWS Associate Architect certification in 90 days

Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Security+ certification
  • Experience with JIRA and CMDB
  • Experience with Zephyr Scale
  • Experience with Cloud Systems; IaC, Kubernetes, Linux, COTS/FOSS install, AWS
  • Leadership experience
