What's the Short Version?

The Compliance Analyst contributes to SanMar's success by assisting in the design, development and implementation of company's product safety program. The Compliance Analyst ensures all applicable regulations, industry standards and company policies are abided by. They are a key resource for researching, providing guidance and responding to compliance related questions from internal and external stakeholders.

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Support the design, development and enforcement of SanMar's product safety program.
  • Review products for regulatory compliance during product development lifecycle making recommendations when necessary to address concerns.
  • Specify and communicate product safety test requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development, review and maintenance of product safety policies, procedures and manuals.
  • Research and review new concepts upon request from brand management and product development teams.
  • Review marketing materials for compliance with applicable requirements and company policies.
  • Work closely with Product Quality Assurance and Global Sourcing teams to communicate company's product safety test requirements to third-party labs and international supply base.
  • Monitor product updates and evaluate changes for impact to regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain awareness of industry and market trends by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Support the development of new supplier onboarding process and associated materials.
  • Assist with new market expansion and global regulation research.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.


What Are We Looking For?
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in consumer product regulatory compliance and/or product safety, environmental health and safety, or related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of CPSC, FTC labeling, ANSI, REACH, Prop 65 and other state regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, report generation and internet research.
  • Experience developing processes, procedures and manuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings.
  • Analytical with proven data management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ethical dedication to keeping organization practices and sensitive information confidential.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to follow through.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.


What's Our Offer?

Salary Range: You`ll earn between $67,725 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience.

Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.

Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect?

Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.

SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
